UP Team bags Team Prize in Best Victim’s Counsel at the 2018 ICC Moot Court Competition

The UP Law team showed their true mettle at the 2018 Universiteit Leiden – International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition (English Edition), where the students finished as Quarter Finalists among representatives of 45 countries. They likewise garnered the Team Prize for Best Victim’s Counsel.

The team was composed of Cathy Alcantara, Hilton Aguila Lazo, Michelle Lao, Anton Sison, Deanna Clarisse Heceta, and team captain Vaupetroanji Peña.  Coaching their team was Atty. Raphael A. Pangalangan,  while their Faculty adviser was Prof. Nicholas Ty.

The competition, under the International Criminal Court, play a critical role in boosting interest in the Court’s work with academic institutions and raises awareness and respect for international laws.
