UP Law Complex is set to combine the existing College of Law and Law Center websites into one unified platform

Representatives from the different UP Law Complex institutes, programs, offices, and organizations came together for a Coordination Meeting to commence the development of the new UP Law website.

The meeting focused on the development of a new consolidated website for the UP Law Complex, combining the existing College of Law and Law Center websites into one unified platform. IPD presented the project overview, explaining that this major institutional initiative was recently approved by the Chancellor and will be developed in partnership with the National Engineering Center over a 9-month period, with completion targeted for March 2027.

The team reviewed initial design mockups and discussed the website’s structure, which will include major sections such as about the institution, academics, admissions, faculty, student life, UP Law Center, and library, with content to be provided by various institutes and programs. Key discussions centered around storage capacity for multimedia files, the integration of research repositories, and the need for consistent branding across all microsites, with participants expressing concerns about file storage limitations and the need for proper digital archiving of research outputs and historical materials.

The meeting also covered the importance of creating an institutional repository similar to Yale’s system and appointing/designating information officers of each Institute/Office/Program to manage content updates, with participants agreeing to submit site maps by June 30 to help guide the development process.
