UP Law members among signatories for “A Call for Adherence to Constitutional Process”

Quoting Justice JBL Reyes’s words “No Master but Law; No Guide but Conscience; No Aim but Justice,” UP Law members, along with various law faculties, signed a statement expressing concern over unconstitutional means used to remove former Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.

The statement was released on May 10, 2018, prior the Supreme Court decision granting the quo warranto petition on May 11. Over 130 signatories firmly insisted that “the integrity of the process is as important as its result.”
