10-Year Remembrance on Nelson Mandela’s Passing

A Public Lecture on the Occassion of the 10-Year Remembrance of Nelson Mandela’s Passing

On the occasion of the Nelson Mandela International Day (July 18), a public lecture by H.E. Bartinah Ntombizodwa Radebe-Netshitenzhe, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to the Philippines, will be held on 21 July 2023, Friday at 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Malcolm Hall, College of Law, UP Diliman, Quezon City. The event is a collaboration of the South African Embassy Manila and the University of the Philippines (UP) in coordination with the Office of International Linkages Diliman, UP College of Law, and the UP Department of Political Science. UP Law Center Institute of Human Rights’ (UP IHR) Law Reform Specialist Atty. Daniel Lising, M.D. and Department of Political Science Assistant Professor Dr. Maria Theresa Anna Robles will both serve as the reactors for the program.

The lecture is in line with the 10-Year Remembrance of Nelson Mandela’s passing. With the theme, “The Legacy Lives On Through You”, the program aims to present an opportunity to reflect on the gains and losses over the last decade and to challenge the audience to carry out the unfinished work of Nelson Mandela.
