Online Launch of the 2019 & 2020 Philippine Yearbook of International Law
On November 4, 2021, the Institute of International Legal Studies – University of the Philippines Law Center, together with the Philippine Society of International Law launched the 2019 and 2020 volumes of the Philippine Yearbook of International Law.
The Philippine Yearbook of International Law is an annual publication that features developments in international law relevant to the Philippines. This compendium on international law features Supreme Court decisions, DOJ opinions, treaties, and the works of some of the country’s luminaries in the field of international law.
The online launch began with a presentation of the contents of the 2019 and 2020 volumes of the PYIL followed by the announcement of the launch by Prof. Elizabeth Aguiling-Pangalangan, President of the Philippine Society of International Law.
The launch featured a moderated discussion from a panel of authors composed of Ambassador J. Eduardo Malaya (Department of Foreign Affairs), Dr. Lowell Bautista (Wollongong University), and Judge Soliman Santos Jr. (Regional Trial Court, Naga City, Camarines Sur) on their articles in the PYIL. The launch was moderated by Prof. Rommel J. Casis, Director the UP IILS.
