UP wins 1st Pan-Asia International Human Rights Moot UP Law took the championship of the first Pan-Asia International Human Rights Moot Court Competition held at the University of Hong Kong last June 30. The team, composed of Peterson Poon, Leeanne Gali, Carlo Borromeo, and Maria Veronica Manalo, beat the National University of Singapore to claim the top prize of the inaugural moot. UP Law finishes as semi-finalist in 2017 ICC Moot Court Competing with 64 schools from 50 countries all over the world, the University of the Philippines team finished as a semifinalist in the 2017 International Criminal Court (ICC) Moot Court Competition (English version) held on 14- 19 May 2017 at the Hague, Netherlands. The five-man team was composed of Theodore Joseph Jumamil, Monique Castro Roa, Vaupetroanji Peña, Risa Crisostomo,and team leader Samantha Ann Tirthdas. UP Law wins second place in the 21st Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition The UP College of Law placed second in the 21st Annual International Environmental Moot Court Competition held in Stetson University, Gulfport Florida, USA. This is the third year in a row that the UP team reached the championship round, an unprecedented accomplishment in the history of the competition. Team Captain Patricia Valeña won overall Best Oralist. Fellow teammate Nap Gonzales was recognized as among the top ten best oralists. The team also won 3rd Best Memorial.
