March 2023|The Asia-Pacific Journal of International Humanitarian Law (APJIHL) convenes in Hongkong

 

The Asia-Pacific Journal of International Humanitarian Law is a publication of the Institute of International Legal Studies – University of the Philippines Law Center (UP-IILS) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The Journal aims to produce peer-reviewed scholarly articles, book reviews, and commentary on significant developments and current issues in international humanitarian law, and related fields. It has a special focus on the Asia-Pacific region, and is published once a year.

On March 7, 2023, the Asia-Pacific Journal of International Humanitarian Law (APJIHL) held its Fifth Annual Board of Experts Meeting at the Hong Kong Red Cross Headquarters in Hong Kong. 

The Institute of International Legal Studies was represented by its Director and Managing Editor of the APJIHL, Prof. Rommel J. Casis along with APJIHL Project Director and Associate Editor  Atty. Joan Paula Deveraturda who facilitated the Annual Meeting. They were joined by members of the Board of Experts and Head of Legal Department of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). 

Prof. Casis also served as one of the judges in the 21st Red Cross International Humanitarian Law Moot 2023 in Hong Kong.
