Professor Oliva teaches legal history and the law on agency and partnership. He obtained his B.A. in Journalism (2006) and J.D. (2011) from the University of the Philippines. He was a recipient of the UP Law Dean’s Medals for academic excellence and leadership and was cited by the U P Office of Legal Aid as one of its outstanding law interns. Before he joined the law faculty, he was associated with Castillo, Laman, Tan, Pantaleon, and San Jose Law Firm where his practice focused on arbitration, commercial and securities litigation, family, labor, and criminal law.
