“Philippine Materials in International Law” by Judge Raul Pangalangan is now published in print
“Philippine Materials in International Law,” authored by our very own UP Law Dean, Professor, and former International Criminal Court (ICC) Judge Raul Pangalangan, is now published in print and online by Brill-Nijhoff – an esteemed international book publishing company known for producing scholarly publications.
The book is a collection of international law materials relating to the Philippines. It engages the need for comparative perspectives of new theories by giving an in-depth look at international law with the use of Philippine history and experience, addressing issues such as how Marcos’s human rights abuses were litigated abroad but never in the Philippine courts, and how victim claims for reparations are blocked by the Philippine Government.
Judge Pangalangan’s book is the go-to reference for any law practitioner dealing with a Philippine-related case where the reader gets access to documents rarely seen in the original text and never together in one volume.
The book (along with a free excerpt) is available online through Brill’s website: https://brill.com/view/title/60849
