GLPP attends Gender Equality Consultative Writeshop in Congress

UP Gender Law and Policy Program (GLPP) attended and participated in the Gender Equality Consultative Writeshop, organized by Akbayan Partylist and Babaylanes, Inc., held on 3 July 2025 at the House of Representatives.

The writeshop was also attended by key government agencies and civil society organizations whose insights, comments, and proposals are integral to the development and strategic filing and refiling of several gender-responsive bills for the 20th Congress. GLPP strongly supports this ongoing initiative of mobilizing stakeholders into collaborative discussions to further strengthen and boost the community’s urgent demand for genuine protection and recognition of diverse SOGIESCs in our laws.

GLPP remains committed to providing quality women and gender policy reforms and advocacies. The Program will continue to work towards the passage of gender-sensitive laws and amendments.
