I am pleased to announce that on Monday, April 20, 2020, at 8:00 in the morning, #UPLawHelps will go live.

This is an online legal assistance platform conceptualized and designed to handle requests for legal assistance, legal advice and education, and if necessary, legal representation for issues arising from the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine. #UPLawHelps brings together the commitment, passion, expertise, resources, and networks of the entire UP Law Community — faculty, REPS, staff, students, and alumni (with a lot of friends and allies joining  in) — into one, focused effort to help our people through this pandemic.

 Sa panahon ng ligalig, buong-pusong nagkakaisa ang komunidad ng UP Law na ipagpatuloy ang paglilingkod sa sambayanan sa pamamagitan ng pagmumulat sa karapatan at pagbigay kaalaman tungkol sa mga batas at patakaran sa ilalim nitong Enhanced Community Quarantine.

The entire UP Law Community expresses its deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support our UP Law for PGH campaign has received. We thank everyone who continue to support this fundraising campaign, hence strongly reflecting the University’s vision of having strong support from the alumni and other stakeholders.

As of 20 April 2020, through the UP Law Alumni Relations Office, we were able to raise P5,617,205.70 worth of donations (in cash, pledges, medical supplies, and equipment like an RNA extraction machine) for our brave frontliners at the UP Philippine General Hospital (UP PGH). Several UP Law batches have donated and continue to donate. Your generosity in this time of crisis will go a long way in helping our Covid-19 support.
