UP Law dominates the 2018 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, claims the national title

The representatives of the University of the Philippines College of Law were crowned champions at the national round of the 2018 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition held on 22-24 February 2018 at the University of Santo Tomas.

UP Law posted a unanimous win as the respondent in the Grand Finals and clinched the title over San Beda University.

The victory gives UP Law the right to represent the Philippines in the international rounds, which will be held on 1-7 April 2018 in Washington, DC.The team is composed of captain Lee Edson Yarcia (Best Oralist of the Preliminary Rounds), co-captain Maria Patricia Valeña (Best Oralist of the Final Round), Joseph Benjamin De Leon (3rd Best Oralist of the Preliminary Rounds), Theodore Joseph Jumamil (7th Best Oralist of the Preliminary Rounds),and Carlo Rafael Borromeo. Professor Rommel Casis coached the team, and was assisted by Leslie Diane Torres.
