Philippine Law Register Issue No. 2: “Strongmen and the Rule of Law” now online

Relaunched in 2015, the Philippine Law Register is the annual and official student paper of the UP College of Law. It is committed to publishing well-researched, incisive, and thought-provoking commentaries, artworks, and photographs that are concerned with timely and profound issues in law, politics, and society.

For this Academic Year, the Register is proud to announce the online release of its next installment, themed “Strongmen and the Rule of Law.”

Featuring interviews with Representative Pia Cayetano, Atty. Dino Aguirre, Atty. Ana Margarita Rodriguez, Rafael Ricalde, and Jelorie Gallego; and articles from alumni and resident contributors Maximo Paulino T. Sison III, Atty. Ramon Quintin Allado, Atty. Odina Batnag, Atty. Jesus Nicardo Falcis III, Dr. Jose Manuel Oyson, Ana Alexandra Castro, Karmy Galope, Carlos Hernandez, Jr., and Allan Chester Nadate, as well as the Register’s board of editors and writers, “Strongmen and the Rule of Law” constitutes an attempt to participate in the crucial debates surrounding strongman rule, the right to dissent, the organized Left, sexuality, religion, the right to life, and the rule of law after the conduct of the May 2016 Elections.
