Event Announcement: UP IHR to hold FGD on "The Intersection and Tensions of Energy Governance, Climate Change, and Human Rights in Protecting the Vulnerable Groups"

The UP Institute of Human Rights is currently engaged in a project entitled "The Intersection and Tensions of Energy Governance, Climate Change, and Human Rights in Protecting the Vulnerable Groups" with the general aim of determining the impact of climate change and changes in energy governance on human rights and on the effect of the consideration of human rights in proposing and implementing changes in the energy governance in the Philippines.

As part of this research, UP IHR will hold a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on 24 May 2018 (Thursday), 9:00am to 3:00pm, at the Third Floor Conference Room, Bocobo Hall, UP Law Center, Diliman, Quezon to discuss issues and perspectives pertinent to the project, particularly with respect to the relationship, intersection, and tensions among energy governance, environmental rights, and human rights. The FGD invites energy and transportation sector stakeholders from the National Capital Region (NCR) to share their experiences and inform our research of their perspectives.
