Subject: Call for Papers/Abstracts 2012 Beijing Biennial Conference Asian Society of Labour Law

The Asian Society of Labour Law (Asian SLL) is slated to hold its 2012 Beijing Biennial Conference on 24-25 July, 2012 in Beijing. This Conference will focus on multiple regulatory mechanism of labour and employment relations including (1) Trade unions and collective bargaining; (2) Human rights instruments; (3) Democratic participation or workplace democracy or co-regulation; (4) Mechanism of forced self-regulation and mutual regulation of employers, e.g., CSR; (5) International labour standards and international solidarity; (6) Mutual reaction and combined uses of the instruments, including labour standards as benchmark.
In this connection, we are calling labour law academics, students and practitioners to submit papers and abstracts on any of the topics mentioned. The deadline for submission is on 1 May 2012. The Executive Council of the Asian SLL will screen the papers online. Selected paper presenters will be notified before the end of May 2012.
